The #1 Reason Most Men Over 40 Lose Weight... ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ปโ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ
If you are trying and haven't lost any weight this week, read this.

This is Simon who I used to work with.
Simon had a young family and career which was mostly working from home but also included international travel.
He contacted me as he wasnโt happy with his body shape.
He was out of routine and his food was all over the place.
Heโd tried the usual diets and all or nothing attempts, but heโd never got any lasting results.
We got to work and looked through everything, making marginal improvements week by week.
He still ate curry, pizza and drank beer but this was all balanced out.
So how much weight did Simon lose between these two photographs?
He lost a grand total of 8lb - or 3.6kg in new money.
But how can that be true?
Body composition - the old muscle weighs more than fat thing...
And the same thing has happened this week with Philip.
Philip and I decided to push him a bit harder this month. He has increased his activity levels. This is only temporary, but it's a tool he'll have in his back pocket forever.
We'll go back to his new normal soon, but for now we're pushing.
I won't show Philip's start and now photos, but in his words "I'm buzzing".
And how much weight has Philip lost?
A grand total of 600g - or 1.3lb in old money.
So what's the moral of the story?
The scales aren't your only sign of success.
How do the clothes fit? What are other people saying? How are your energy levels? What about your cholesterol or blood pressure? Libido?
Looking after yourself is NEVER a waste of time.
And this is how I coach.
I'm not telling you to target 1lb a week or dehydrate yourself for your mirror muscles to show more.
I'm giving you a sensible routine that works and tools to manage it going forward. You can turn it up and you can turn it down. You have flexibility. You have life.
I've got spaces this month to work with guys like Simon and Philip. Guys who want to make a change, but don't want to diet or go back to counting.
If this sounds like you, drop a comment below or book in a call with me, let's have a chat.
"The kids are off this week so I'll start next week"
So that's this week, but what about last week and the week before?
Marcus here had a son aged two and had just started his branding business.
Getting a business off the ground is tough and it took it's toll on Marcus.
He felt sluggish and it was starting to show.
He tried diets and exercise apps, but all were short lived. He couldn't focus on it. He had too much on already.
He kept telling himself he'll get it sorted when he has more time.
But then Marcus booked in a photoshoot. He wanted to get some good photos of him working, but after booking it, all he could think about was his midriff.
He put on his favourite suit and he knew didn't look the part. Disappointment set in. What impression would he be giving off of his business?
He knew he couldn't put it off any longer, he had to do something.
Marcus knew he needed a plan, he needed clarity and structure. Even more importantly he needed someone to take that pressure off
him.
We got to work and started to make some changes. I knew Marcus had a deadline, but even so, we stuck with the ethos, progress over perfection.
It worked. The weight was coming off, Marcus was starting to feel more energised and positive.
But a few weeks in, half a stone down, Marcus wanted more and he wanted it now.
Marcus came onto his call and suggested a huge change. I felt it was too much alongside work and family, but he was convinced.
A week later, his results continued to drop at the same rate.
On our call I could see the frustration in his face.
He talked and talked and I listened. All that effort, all that sacrifice and he'd got no further.
We scaled things back and Marcus trusted the process.
The shoot came, the suit fitted and Marcus felt fantastic.
Marcus got the end result he wanted and he did it alongside his business and raising his young son.
There is never a perfect time to take action. You will always have something coming up. Right now, it's the school holidays, then it'll be Halloween and before we know it, Christmas.
I've got one-to-one coaching spots available this month. DM me to see if we're a fit.
The Secret to Getting Lean Without Tracking Calories
Calorie counting works, but itโs difficult to keep going. When youโre busy, on the go or eating out, it becomes impossible and very quickly you give it up.
But you can lose weight without calorie counting and this is how!
Head over to myย YouTube Channelย for more.
These are MY non negotiables.
You might not be entirely in the know, but if you saw my last post, you can see I've not had the best of weeks.
Things are looking better each day but there is still a long way to go.
But without sounding like an Instagram fitness guru, despite everything going on, I've stuck to my non negotiables.
In my case, that's not protein at every meal or 3x resistance training sessions a week.
It's much simpler than that.
I've prioritised my sleep.
I've achieved 10k steps a day.
I've kept up with my water intake.
I've not "formally" exercised and I've eaten a lot of crap.
It's not perfect, but good enough is good enough.
I also have my non negotiables in business.
Social media isn't one I'm afraid, so I've gone a little quiet there.
But I'm still pushing my clients - THIS always comes first.
This week Kevin has lost 0.6kg despite spending 2 nights in hotels.
Mark is down 0.9kg in a week which included a trip to the football and his son's birthday.
And Richard is down 0.4kg and his week consisted of a conference, an overnight trip and entertaining a potential new client.
And they've all been very flexible with me and sent plenty of supportive messages, which I hugely appreciate.
I think I have the best clients in the world...
This last week has probably been the toughest week of my life.
It's reminded me of two things.
1) Look after yourself. If not for you, for those around you. It'll give you strength when you need it.
2) Never take anyone for granted.
Things are getting better but still a long road.
To those in the know, I appreciate the messages and flexibility.
Have a great week.

Steve approached me struggling to get on top of his health.
He had a stressful business to run, which included lots of hours at the desk and even international travel.
He could get to the end of the day and have clocked up less than 1,000 steps and heโd round it off with something from Just Eat.
He told himself the usual things, โItโs been a long busy dayโ, โIโve got nothing inโ, โIโve worked hard today, I deserve itโ.
He needed to turn it around before it caught up with him.
Although Steve needed an overhaul, it wouldnโt work. We needed to slowly change things week by week.
We started with a dietary change and introduced a low step count.
The following week we worked on something else and got the step count a little higher.
Steve got to the point where he was exercising 3 times a week, reaching 10,000 steps a day and actually preparing his own food.
The weight came down and the energy and performance levels shot up.
On an international trip, Steve was requesting a side of vegetables to compliment his meals and even earned himself the nickname from the staff of Vegetable Man!
Itโs a long road for Steve, but we put together something he could maintain despite how busy things got.
If you want to develop your routine, without complicated plans, calorie counting or sucking the fun out of life,ย book in a call nowย and we can see if weโre a fit.
If youโve got this far, do it straight away, as youโll no doubt forget later on.
