It’s a recurring injury from years of wearing body armour.

Occasionally it just goes at the slightest thing and this week it was helping my brother fit his new oven.

It’s irritating as I’d set myself a challenge of completing 100 press ups per day. Get the mirror muscles pumped ready for my holiday.

But two days in, disaster.

It happens. It’s no biggie as I’m prepared for this.

I didn’t eat any differently, I drank plenty of water and still got in my steps.

Simple. It’s not a stop – just a set back.

Illness and injury will happen. Having a plan in your mind for when it happens means it isn’t such a slap in the face.

That’s how you build longevity.

Plan for the issues rather than just waiting for them to happen.
